Not The World We Used To Know
© 2018 Mark Cote
ambrosia man with star spangled eyes
sweeps feathers beneath tongue tangled lies
mountain men looking down
see their dreams crumble to the ground
but oh... he's got something to say
as he's pushing away
(chorus) it's not the world we used to know
it's not the love we used to show
it's spiraling down don't you know
it's not the world we used to know
bear hugs and grins do you think it's so wise
when in time they realize
that shadows will soon show a face
a nation looks down in utter disgrace
but oh... he's got something to say
as he's pushing away
(chorus)
(instrumental)
but oh... he's got something to say
as he's pushing away
(chorus)
