Dancing moonrise
pink striped sunrise
the echoes in your mind

crawling up from the wishing well
 with genie secrets I can't tell
'til the walls come crashing down
and the jester wears a frown

                from the butterfly
                a riddle with no answer

as the clock tumbles in reverse
in a Carol novel you immerse
see the future as it was
the birds that shout a silent buzz

snake oil schemes

It was a sunny day all the people were gathered 'round
to see a golden ring
and a wedding gown
how was I to know the lips I kissed could burn so bad
when all this time

and like a flash in my past
it still comes back to me
time and time again
then it's gone with the wind
just another ripple in my mind
