The Wheels Turning, But The Hamster's Dead

© 2009 Mark Cote

1. tell him left, he goes right
totally lost, but ready to fight
from a kiddie pool sized gene pool
I think the wheel's turning, but the hamster's dead

2. forgets this, can't remember that
    common sense just went flat
    The reason siblings shouldn't marry
I think the wheel's turning, but the hamster's dead

(bridge) Too young to have been to Woodstock
                or lived the 60's
brain cells fried, 'cause the hamster died

(chorus) the wheel's turning but the hamster's dead
                cobwebs blowing inside his head
not running on all his gears
can see daylight through his ears
I'm sure the wheel's turning but the hamster's dead

3. confuse him, with a simple chore
his elevator only has one floor
the lights are on, but no one at the door
because the wheel's turning, but the hamster's dead
(chorus)
